I am just back from a visit to England and I can confirm that black and white is definitely alive there in 2025.

As much as colourful english cottages, moody painted hues in pubs, and the vibing colours in cafes are also very much a thing, it is evident that black and white is a timeless, present and classic choice that will never go out of style.

Stroll (I mean, scroll) with me as I share some of my favourite black and white sightings....

  1. I spotted this pairing of black telephone booths and couldn't help but capture a photo. (and yes, red is very much the typical colour on phone booths throughout London, which is probably why i was so drawn to these in black. )

  1. While in Knotting Hill, the Paul Smith design house stopped me in my tracks. (Fall is magical!)

  1. Visiting Kensington Gardens, I was smitten with the black bench and of course the backdrop of white blooms.

  1. The amazing black and white exteriors spotted throughout London are just jaw droppingly beautiful.

  1. In the Spitalfields, which is known for art and colour, I couldn't help but be drawn to this flower shop.

And also in the Spitalfields, I spotted these black shutters (oh, my)

  1. And let's finish up in the Cotswold with this dreamy black door. (I know, right?)

Hope you enjoyed this black and white post. Stay creative : - )
